Distance Learning

The Office of Distance Learning is responsible for creating virtual learning environments and experiences, as well as providing learning design and support services for the ACGME’s educational events and organizational initiatives. The Distance Learning team is instrumental in developing effective strategies for delivering and scaling the ACGME’s education events and initiatives across the GME community. Distance Learning works with other ACGME departments to foster collaborations among members of the GME community by using technology to facilitate communication and work.

The Office of Distance Learning also produces on-demand online courses and videos, including several for CME credit, which are available in the ACGME’s Learning Management System, Bridge. Visit www.tiny.cc/acgme to set up a Bridge account and access all of the available professional development resources. Educational offerings include an “Introduction to Assessment” for faculty members, and “The Role and Responsibilities of a Sponsoring Institution” for designated institutional officials and program directors, as well as video recordings of the ACGME’s Baldwin Seminar Series.

Other resources, like the ACGME’S collection of animated videos on “How to Avoid Common Errors in the ADS Annual Update,” are directly available on the ACGME website. Visit http://www.acgme.org/Program-Directors-and-Coordinators/Avoiding-Common-Errors-in-the-ADS-Annual-Update to view these animated videos.
